Good morning! I dropped the girls off at their schools. I then stopped by AutoZone and installed a fresh headlight. Now onto the office. I now also have a spare, just in case I have another headlight that fails after the auto part stores have closed. Don't want a repeat of last night.
Listened to This Week in Google #133 on the drive down to Boxborough. I have 100 overnight emails to triage, but first... Bagel Day bagels.
45 Declared Goals of Communism in America, as read on Congressional Record in 1963. Number 27: “Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with ‘social’ religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a ‘religious crutch.’ ”
‘To Stop the Multiplication of the Unfit’. Excerpt: When a bunch of wealthy white women and elite Washington bureaucrats defend the trampling of religious liberties in the name of “increased access” to “reproductive services” for “poor” women, the ghost of Margaret Sanger is cackling. Sanger founded Planned Parenthood in 1916 “to stop the multiplication of the unfit.” This, she boasted, would be “the most important and greatest step towards race betterment.”
Rebooked my flight to San Diego. Yesterday I hadn't received confirmation from HQ and only had my trip on hold. That expired, but this morning I was still able to get it... for an additional $75.
Via @PatriciaHeaton: “I now want a lap top cover with fake bullet holes on it - put them on all the kids laptops. Anyone?” Patricia is saying that because of this video which has been going viral. In it a father uses his .45 to shoot a bunch o' holes in his spoiled daughter's laptop.
Joined a friend from AMD for lunch at DiCapri and had a large antipasto salad. When I got back I checked out my future office. It's almost ready. I've had to pack up my office because moving day takes place while I'm in San Diego.
So I gave Duck Duck Go a week or so as my default search engine within Chrome. Much like when I tried Firefox for a few weeks, it's just not doing it for me. I'm switching my Chrome search engine back to The Google™.
Wrapped up my last day in that office. Smooth drive home listening to Security Now #339 on the drive home. I took Claire to DD so that she could buy herself a Coolata. Abby's at school at a winterfest dance.
Picked up Abby and her friend from the school dance. Her friend is sleeping over. I predict a couple more hours of gigglefest coming from Abby's bedroom. When I got home I did some more debugging. I'd determined that I wanted to replace the old version of PyTivoX with something more current. Even when I got it sort of working, I had one video file that wouldn't transfer. With a bit of Googling I stumbled across a fix.
Watching a bit of “The Way” with Martin Sheen and Emilio Estevez. I'll probably watch most of it tomorrow.

‘He has done all things well.
He makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.’ ” — Mark 7
