Good morning! I woke up on the early side today so I watched another episode of "Catholicism" while waking up. I dropped Claire off at Subway. She's shift leader from 8:30 to 3:00 today. I took the rest for breakfast at DFE. Now Michelle, Abby, and the twins are watching "The Smurfs" while Timothy tinkers on his Linux tower.
I have some work related stuff to catch up on before I arrive tomorrow. Write my weekly status, submit my hours, skim email, and do the expenses related to my San Diego trip.
After catching up on a handful of work related items, I folded some laundry and dug into my overflowing ReadItLater list with my Kindle. So many articles that I'd saved over the past week. Since it was low on charge, it only got a couple of hours of reading before it powered down.
The boys' friend Jamie came over this afternoon. They've been out sledding and inside gaming on the Wii. Abby has been doodling a lot with the Nintendo DSi-XL with FlipNotes. Her doodling of family scenarios in Flipnotes reminds me of the cartoons my brother Tom draws about his family life. I just wish I could figure out a way to export the Flipnotes.
Did not realize that Emacs has the command: M-x emacs-uptime. That's so like the open source community. If they're not bragging about operating system uptime and stability, they have similar programmer's editor bravado…
Timothy and I dropped Jamie off back at his house. After dinner we revisited Abby's preferred phones. At the final stages of the order we found that in addition to the extra line costing $20/month, Sprint now adds another $10 on top of that for all smartphones (as of January). Deal breaker. "No smartphone for you!"
Got the boys all tucked in bed with their prayers. I'm refreshing old brain cells on the usage of irssi a bit and going to bed. It was a relaxing three day weekend. Good night all!

from the cloud came a voice,
‘This is my beloved Son. Listen to him.’ ” — Mark 9
