More Florida Pictures
Album - Weeks ago when I was gathering photos from Abby's phone, my phone, and my camera, somehow a bunch of my pictures from our trip were lost or clobbered. Once I thought I had everything uploaded from my pocket camera, I soon had the camera erase everything because it was getting backlogged with photos. As I started working through the past few albums, I wondered what had happened. I was concerned that several family shots were gone.
This caused tears for Michelle who thought several good family pictures were lost for good. That night I worked at getting an open source file restoration tool and was able to restore nearly every image from that card. Today I sifted through them to find “the missing pictures” and worked on one last album of our time in Florida. It includes more of Epcot, a bit of Magic Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios. Enjoy!
Michelle - On the Michelle front, we're moving forward. She finished all of her screenings. The various detailed scans did not show cancer in any places beyond what we already knew: ie. metastatic breast cancer starting to form in her lungs. Within a couple of days of the last scan, they notified us that we were good to take the clinical trial.
The treatment started on Wednesday and required a day and a half of monitoring. Michelle and I stayed overnight near Boston to avoid the back and forth while dad stayed with the kids. This drug combination is two targeted medicines and so far she's not showing any ill side effects. All we can pray for the next several weeks is that she stays tolerating it well and that it is effective at stopping or shrinking the tumors. The cancer center at Massachusetts General Hospital is among the very best in the country and helping to lead the way in many new treatments. For now though we just follow the daily procedure, pray, and wait for the followup CT scan in about 8 weeks. All of your intercessory prayers are valued as well.
