Good morning! Sunny and 55°F here now. I just ordered a pair of brown scapulars. The one Michelle has been wearing for years is probably a couple of decades old (and seen better days). Hoping we can all (Claire included) get to breakfast before Claire has to start at Subway.
Bummer! Today's solar eclipse will occur after the sun sets for those of us on the east coast.
Since it's so nice outside, Claire rode her bike to Subway this morning. Michelle and I took the rest for breakfast at Donut Fresh Express (DFE). Now that we're back, we're packing our things for a trip the Nashua Y's swimming pool. It reminds me of yesterday's "just keep swimming" mantra.
Had a good time at the YMCA pool. Even Michelle got over her reluctance and went all the way in the water. Often times she's tempted to just dangle her feet in. On the drive home we stopped at McD's for some small frozen treats. Now we're relaxing at Milford's Keyes Field.
I should mention that Abby didn't come with us on this excursion. She got an offer to visit her friend Julia and do some shoe shopping. Without Claire or another girl friend to accompany her to the pool, visiting the YMCA lost any incentive for her.
Well the park didn't last long. It's almost 86°F, sunny, and no breeze. It was fine in the shade where Michelle and I were relaxing on blankets, but soon the boys joined us because "it's too hot". After Michelle got through catching up with my dad, we packed the blankets and came back to the house.
When we got back, I let the boys relax with The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything via Netflix. Afterwards I restocked the wood grill with wood and fired it up. Michelle is grilling chicken and sausage tonight. I'm also continuing my efforts to make Tim's netbook dual boot Window and Linux (Kubuntu).
After a bit of finagling, I got Timothy's laptop doing WiFi properly. Have I mentioned lately how much I hate trying to configure WiFi based on Broadcom's chip solutions when running Linux? Royal Pain in the Derriere!! But now he's a happy camper. His hard disc is split in half and can run either Windows7 or Kubuntu/Linux at boot time.
Michelle took Claire to the last of her last Confirmation prep classes. I cleaned up after dinner and folded more laundry before I went back to working on Tim's laptop WiFi. Meanwhile the twins have been playing Paper Mario, The Thousand Year Door.
Got the boys tucked in bed with their prayers. We also had a little talk about the real meaning of Love. I wish there was another episode of Once Upon a Time to watch tonight, but no. Just as well... Good night all!
