Good morning! I woke up to this feel good story on WMUR: Marvel superhero aids 4-year-old with hearing loss. Given Timothy's hearing, this spoke to me.
I dropped the girls off at their schools. Much of Elm Street is under directed traffic due to paving. So the girls were about five minutes late. Later I dropped the boys off because Michelle is on her way to Nashua Oncology. I'm working from home today on the chance that the appointment runs unexpectedly long.
Michelle will get labs, consult with her oncologist, and meet with a surgeon about a Power Port. Perhaps they will do IV fluids. Michelle's throat, while not perfect, is doing much better. And her talk with Aunt Susie last night also gave her more hope.
Got a message from Michelle that blood labs were quick and painless. Now she's just waiting to see her surgeon.
I remember about two years ago listening to Patrick Madrid's CD on the Mexican Cristero War aka Cristiada. Eager to see the movie about to come out about it: Video trailer of "For Greater Glory".
Michelle returned from Nashua. She only had labs and planned with the surgeon. Hopefully we'll hear back from her oncologist on the lab results soon. Soon she'll also have her "end-of-study" study at Massachusetts General Hospital. Yes, another road trip to Boston! It should be our last major trip there. Once she got home I took her for lunch at Cafe on the Oval.
Snarkasm: I see what ewe did they're. ;-] (related Twitter link)
I had conference calls at 1pm and 2pm. The kids are home. In the irony-of-the-day department, yesterday Daniel asked if Michelle would pick up he and his brothers from elementary school. Michelle agreed and went to get them today. And due to mixups and such, Daniel took the bus. My old business partner used to joke, "no good deed goes unpunished".
I can barely fathom the >3,000 surgical abortions we have per day in the US, but ~1,500 per hour in China?! (related story)
Who-hoo! Last Wed: Michelle's CK enzyme ~20,000. Friday: ~14,000. Just learned today: ~1700. Making great progress! (explanation of CK)
Since the kids all contributed in some way to helping Michelle this afternoon, we took them out to McD's for some snack size McFlurries.
Been helping Claire with her trig homework for the last two hours. Time flies when you're having fun, but now my brain hurts. This was so much easier when I was 16... Got the boys tucked in bed with their prayers. Good night all!
