Good morning! I dropped the girls off at their schools, forgetting that they are paving Elm Street this morning. I'm working from home today, hoping to renew my license later this morning. Maria took the boys to school. Now Michelle and Maria are going to try to take a Step class at Golds.
Michelle and Maria just returned from Golds. The instructor invited Michelle to lead a couple of blocks of the class "for old time's sake". I'm at the DMV in a short line.
Got my temporary paper license. The woman who helped me didn't fit the stereotype we have for DMV workers. My real plastic license should come in the mail later.
Michelle has booked Maria's return flight for later this month.
Took Michelle and Maria for lunch at Amigos. When we left our house, it was sunny. When we arrived at Amigos it was pouring rain. When we came home it was obvious it never rained here. I then dropped them off at the auto shop where her van was done with its annual car inspection.
The first school bus comes by and neither of our girls stepped off. They are both staying after school. Abby for something band related and Claire for some additional teacher help.
Our friend Kathy stopped by to bring a dinner of chicken and dumplings.
Humor: "In Boston you don't wear 'khakis'... you start your car with them."
The grass is always greener... Ah, so true. Nothing makes our cats get up from whatever they're doing than closing a door. “What? I'm now trapped in this room I was so happily napping in??? I must now get up and paw at the door…”
There were more on and off rain showers followed by sunshine this afternoon. Wrapped up work and enjoyed the donated chicken and dumplings. I can't remember the last time I had a home made batch. So delicious! I'm hoping to bring some leftovers to work tomorrow...
Got the twins tucked in bed with their prayers. Feeling tired too. Good night all!
