As of tonight I'll have two daughters in high school. Yikes! And for one measly day, no one in junior high.
Claire missed being this clerk by less than half an hour. She started her shift shortly after the incident.
Good morning! It's so much nicer this morning than yesterday. It's 63°F and sunny. I dropped Claire and Abby off at their schools. Abby's grade has a graduation barbecue this afternoon. Claire has a short day with finals in Chemistry and History. I'm working from home today.
Just bought the Catholic classic Lives of the Saints for my Kindle Fire. It's just two bucks. Hard to argue with that.
Just back from an advanced Step class at Golds. Now on a conference call that was scheduled while I was out.
Took Michelle, Maria, and Claire for lunch at Cafe on the Oval and a DFE coffee run afterwards. The ladies are going to head to the other side of town to get the van washed and pick up a little something for Abby's graduation.
I always thought I was a pretty hard core Emacs guy, but not compared to Sacha Chua! Holy Cow!
Taking a quick break from test development to share two items of cultural/political snark: Is it just me? and Obama's speech in 4 words.
76 years ago today, the "prophet" GK Chesterton died of congestive heart failure at age 62 in Beaconsfield, England.
WMUR also did a story about the robbery at the Milford Subway yesterday...
The MacBook goes from easiest to service to nearly impossible in one generation! I'm sorry, but part of the reason I bought my current MacBook was that it was designed to be easy to change the RAM, the hard drive, and the battery. Not anymore. In the pursuit of making it super thin, say goodbye to that.
Wrapped up for the day and getting ready to head to Milford Middle School.
Back home from the graduation. See snapshots below. As with Claire two year ago, Abby is still at the school for the post graduation social. I took Michelle, Claire, and Shauna to Haywards for ice cream shakes afterwards. Now I'm just reviewing some of the snapshots we took.
Back at Milford Middle School with Claire to pick up Abby from the social/dance.
