Good morning! It's a chilly one here. Temps are in the low 60's. Michelle is taking Claire with her to Golds and they'll try the "Cardio Fusion" class. Abby will stay back and watch the boys while they're out.
I had a quiet drive into Boxborough listening to Fr. Seraphim discuss the 1980's controversy of Reagan establishing full diplomatic relations with the Vatican with an Ambassador to the Holy See. Even with being online last night 8-9pm for that conference call, I still have 35+ emails to sift through. The stream never seems to end.
I did get a bit of sad news this morning. Fr. Powers — the priest who married me and Michelle and also Alyssa and Tom — died yesterday. I'd known him since grade school when he first became pastor of St. Cyprian Church. What a long life he lived. I'll be offering my prayers for him today. Father Powers' obituary in the Chicago Tribune.

Via Fector: “Maybe if the lie that 'Fast and Furious' started under Bush is repeated by the media 1000 more times it will magically become true.”
"Draw on His grace now, not later. The primary word in the spiritual vocabulary is now." — Oswald Chambers. Reminds me of St. Josemaria's saying of “Nunc coepi”.
I'd almost forgotten. Today is the Feast of St. Josemaria. Here in the Boston area Sean Cardinal O'Malley will be the celebrant and in NYC Timothy Cardinal Dolan will preside.
Yo Sprint. I understand in the case of my old phone, (1st Gen EVO) but what the heck? HTC EVO 3D gets ICS update – unless it’s on Sprint
To read later: Building a Catholic eBook Library on the Cheap. Like Brandon I've found some good stuff on the cheap, but want to review his list.
Being that my girls have seen all the Twilight movies and I didn't see "Abe" last weekend, this brought me such a laugh.
Such an afternoon! After having a quick salad for lunch, I have meetings: 1:30-3pm, 4-5pm, and 6:30-7:30pm. Somewhere in here I'll squeeze in some development work...
Without wanting to sound like an Apple hater, the new iOS "Podcasts" app sounds like Android's DoggCatcher in new features. Finding new podcast sources, streaming live audio, a sleep timer, etc.
To listen to later when I have the time: Fr. Rocky's homily today on the Feast of St. Josemaria Escriva via Relevant Radio.
I left work around 5:30 to catch my 6:30 call when I got home. I offered up the Sorrowful Mysteries for Father Powers along the commute. Michelle was taking Claire to Subway for a last minute work request (6:30-9:30pm) when I got home.
Michelle and Abby have been sorting through photos this evening because they bought a bunch of cute new frames for the main hall/stairway. I think they've narrowed down their selection and layout. I got the boys all tucked in bed with their prayers, but am still waiting for "the phone call" from Claire. Hopefully soon as my eyes are tired.
Eventually picked up Claire from Subway. Launching a Handbrake DVD rip before I go to bed. Good night all!
“Enter through the narrow gate;
for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction,
and those who enter through it are many.
How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life.
And those who find it are few.” — Matthew 7
