About Your Koalafications...

Posted by Scott at 10:03 PM

Good morning! Looks like we're going to have more temps in the 90's the next three days. Michelle and Claire are going to watch the neighbor's twins today. They are on their way to the Merrimack Y so that Michelle can teach her Step and Abs class. 8:51am

I had a smooth drive in, listening to Al Kresta along the way [via his Friday podcast]. He was interviewing Nicholas Eberstadt about his study into Fertility Decline in the Muslim World, contradicting this common perception that soon Muslims will dominate due to demographic shifts. It'd be interesting to have him debate Mark Steyn about the topic. 8:53am

You know how seeing wet cats can make you laugh? Seeing wet Koalas has the same effect, at least for me it does... And at the same time I can hear an evil disclaimer, “Do not taunt super happy fun koala…” 8:56am

Dear Web User: Please Upgrade Your Browser. A sincere appeal to the “why should I bother?” crowd still using Internet Explorer because of inertia. 10:31am

4 years ago Senator Obama said his "biggest mistake" was voting to help Terri Schiavo. *sigh* Now one of the greatest orators of our generation says his biggest mistake as President was communication? My mind works in a different universe. 10:43am

In between test development I backed up my Kindle Fire and installed the new Google Android OS, aka Jelly Bean. From what little time I've had with it, it is sweet. Perhaps it is not as fast as buying one of the new Google Nexus 7 tablets, but it is a nice experience. 12:33pm

Another hour later and I have to say, I'm extremely impressed! Swooshy, responsive. A whole new tablet. It's a poor man's Google Nexus tablet. In theory they're both ~$200, but many people have a Kindle Fire laying around already. 1:52pm

More Geek talk via @Pocket: “Today's fun fact: You can access RSS feeds for what you've saved in Pocket. Here's how” Hmm. The potential. I could aggregate the articles that I've pushed onto my reading queue… 2:47pm

I left work a bit early. I listened to Fr. Pacwa on the drive north. I went straight to Golds for tonight's Dynamic Definition class and the Step class afterward. When I got home, Michelle took most of the kids next door to use their pool. Daniel stayed behind to read more chapters of his Harry Potter novel. 6:57pm

I just got back from my monthly Opus Dei Circle. Tonight's theme: Fortitude. As I was pulling out of the driveway I came close to a skunk and in another hundred feet close to another. Luckily I didn't spook either of them. Michelle got the boys tucked in bed while I was out, but Claire is still at the neighbor's watching their twins. Good night all! 9:57pm
