Good morning! Today's our 23rd Wedding Anniversary! I'm working from home today. Later today Michelle has a routine blood draw. Progress continues on the houses porches and decks.
Claire and I went to the Thursday morning Step class at Golds. When I got back, the boombox I ordered yesterday arrived. But uggh! It's the wrong model. Somehow at the last minute my order must have switched from the iPod dock version to the BlueTooth/wireless version (for iPhone/iPad). Exchanging...
I took Michelle, Claire, and the boys for lunch at Cafe on the Oval. Claire is about to drive Michelle to Nashua Oncology for her routine blood draw.
Ugh! We'd had The Italian Job DVD from Netflix sitting on the shelf from just before we head out to Michigan. Today I decided to open it up and it's cracked. It sat there all this time... Grrr.
Michelle and Claire just returned. The blood draw went quickly. They stopped by A&E Roastery to bring back some foo-foo iced coffees. They also stopped by the pharmacy to pick up the next 2 weeks' supply of Xeloda.
Remember a few weeks ago when the Catholic Church hierarchy wanted to dialog with the sisters of the Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR) because of concerns that their sisters are drifting away from Catholicism? Watch this recent video by the keynote speaker of the LCWR's recent conference. Judge for yourself... More context of who she is. Compare her message with anything you've heard from the late Pope John Paul II or Benedict XVI. It's like listening to a completely different religion. It's like some strange blend of Unitarian with Far East philosophies and New Age. Which is fine, but why call yourselves Catholic sisters/nuns?
We got a piece of good news. Claire got a call from Subway that she won't be needed for tonight's short shift. I guess these rain storms have made it a light day. Claire and I are going to practice more stick shift driving.

“Simon Peter said in reply,
‘You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.’
Jesus said to him in reply, ‘Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah.
For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father.
And so I say to you, you are Peter,
and upon this rock I will build my Church.’ ” — Matthew 16
