Good morning! Today's one of those days we've been anxious about: Michelle has her first PET scan since switching to Xeloda several months ago. Pray that it is working! There's a big band of rain from NH to Philadelphia crossing through right now. It won't be fun as I drive to Boxborough and Michelle drives to the hospital this morning.
LG Optimus G is officially official. I mention this because it is the first phone to utilize our new generation of graphics (and it's got four of our screamin' CPUs). There's some skepticism out there because LG generally isn't as highly regarded as Samsung, Motorola, HTC, etc. Time will tell…
I stopped by Cafe on the Oval for a quick breakfast so as not to eat right in front of the fasting Michelle. Had a rainy commute the whole way down, but listened to a bit of The Sonrise Morning Show along the way until my signal gave out and then to the Jimmy Akin podcast the rest of the way.
Lord Jesus, Be with my wife Michelle now as she goes for her PET scan. Comfort her and assure her of your presence. Amen.

Whereas yesterday was the Feast of St. Monica, today is the Feast of St. Augustine, son of St. Monica. In honor of today's feast day I bought The Confessions of St. Augustine from Audible today.
Via Fector: “Do the pundits making an Isaac/Katrina analogy really want to remind voters of how they blamed Bush for a natural catastrophe?”
Got a call from Michelle that she's done with her test and heading home. Now we just wait for the analysis results.
After a couple of days of spinning my wheels on a tough bug, I made good progress at work today. Left work a little after 6 o'clock, eager to see my wife who is a little "hotter" than usual, thanks to her PET scan. I listened to The Good Fight on the drive home. The kids are all full of mixed emotions about summer ending and school starting tomorrow.
Got the boys tucked in bed with their prayers. Thus wraps up their summer vacation. Feeling pretty tired. Good night all!
