Good morning! Kind of a quiet one at the moment. Abby slept over with a friend. Claire had to be at work before 8am. I took Michelle and the boys over to Cafe on the Oval for a hearty Sunday morning breakfast. We've been keeping an eye on the forecasts. It still sounds as though we'll just have winds and rain, but not like those further south.
When we pulled up from breakfast, there was a large Heron perched on our roof. That was an unusual site! Unfortunately I couldn't get a good picture of it.
In case you ever hear a Bill Maher fan repeating the claim that Jesus is just a retelling of the ancient Egyptian god, Horus: Horus Manure.
Just confirmed Mitt Romney will be here in Milford on Tuesday. Hope he doesn't need a boat to navigate The Oval downtown.
I realized the Eye-Fi tools were never setup again after I did my SSD swap last week. Set it up and realized I had a few pictures (see below) from when we went to Kimball Farms that I never shared.
Snark: "Starting at 7pm tonight, we should all tune into Instagram for non-stop sepia toned pictures of clouds..."
WMUR just posted a fresh update on how Hurricane Sandy will likely impact NH. Video.
I bought Camera Zoom FX a while back, but at LifeHacker's recommendation I checked it out again. It's had some nice updates. I agree that it's among the best camera apps on Android.
Read a couple chapters of Euclid's Wall and then ran a few errands with Timothy: ATM, Jetta fillup, and a hot coffee run. There's the slightest bit of rain out there.
Claire just wrapped up at work. Michelle is taking her to her last driver's ed class. Weather permitting tomorrow is her state exam... Goodbye cheap auto insurance.
Read a few chapters of Trojan Horse. Michelle and Abby ran out to bring home some Chinese take-out for dinner.
Waiting outside Driver's Ed class. Meanwhile Michelle is about to take Abby to Confirmation class.
Via WMUR9: “Romney victory rally in Milford cancelled due to Sandy: Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney's victory…” (related WMUR link) Oh well!
Kids are rejoicing. School is closed in Milford tomorrow. It's also closed in Merrimack, so Michelle doesn't have to teach Step either.
Read a few more chapters of Peter Kreeft's Fundamentals Of The Faith. Dr. Kreeft has some excellent chapters comparing Catholicism to the other major world religions. Tonight I read about Hinduism and Buddhism.
Claire came with me to pick up Abby. It's the first time the two sisters have been together all weekend. Now they're playing dance music and rejoicing in having tomorrow off.
