My morning snark: Banned iPad mini Promo video. Yes, it's a parody but with some truth as well. In other tech/phone news here's a nice preview of where Google is going with the Nexus 4/10 and Android 4.2. (video)
Cool photo: Fibonacci for the win™ again! (image)
Seen somewhere on The Internets: “So now we find out Obama can’t slow the rise of the oceans either? That's it! I’m voting Romney.”
Our email provider has overhauled their web interface. (details) If you're ever willing to pay a nominal fee for a quality email provider that doesn't bombard you with ads while scanning your email, I highly recommend them.
Since the kids are home today and I have to take Claire to Nashua tonight, I'm working from home today.
A little history: Qualcomm Adreno130 powered the Google G1 phone. Adreno200 powered the Nexus 1. And now the Adreno320 powers the new Nexus 4. Ooo-Rah!
Yup, stay classy Michael Moore. Stay classy. Video: "A Message from The Greatest Generation". Warning: NSFW.
Took Michelle and the boys for lunch. Abby wanted to go to a friend's house and Claire wanted to stay back and work on her costume. When we went downtown we found that most establishments were still waiting for power. How rare that we have power when downtown doesn't! So we went to Mi Jalisco.
Man! The Hurricane Sandy winds barely leave and already the Western Conifer Seed Bugs are once again crawling all over the house.
Yes, but will it make phone calls? Take that linear algebra to go: Intel's 48-core chip targeting smartphones and tablets. I know, some say that now about the features we pack into smart phones. But 48 compute cores in a phone?! Am I using my phone for computational fluid dynamics?
Whenever we have seasons or years that don't follow the Global Warming predictions, we hear: “Yeah, but weather is not climate…” well, unless its convenient, like a major weather disaster. (related tweet by Meghan McCain)
Since she didn't have to teach CCD tonight — another side effect of the local area closings and outages — Michelle is driving Claire to the DMV in Nashua for her driver's exam. I'll stay home with the rest and continue to struggle with this problem I'm debugging from work. If she can stay calm and confident, I'm sure she'll do fine. The weather tonight is a world better than last night's.
Just got the SMS text from Michelle. We have a new driver in the family! Our first in 23+ years. (One down, four to go!) Congratulations Claire!
Just as a jubilant Claire and Michelle pulled up in the driveway, my test for work finally rendered the correct image. It's like Double Rainbow! ;-]
For what endorsements are worth, New Hampshire's two largest newspapers (Nashua Telegraph and Manchester Union Leader) have endorsed Mitt Romney.
Ordered “Hide Me Among the Graves” for my Kindle.
“Again he said, ‘To what shall I compare the Kingdom of God?
It is like yeast that a woman took
and mixed in with three measures of wheat flour
until the whole batch of dough was leavened.’ ” — Luke 13
