Classic Christian Art

Posted by Scott at 07:02 AM

Art - There are certain works of classic Christian art that I find so inspiring. Here's an example:

Childhood of Christ

It's called the Childhood of Christ. See it up close here by clicking on their copy of the picture.

Of course for me I'd be chiseling away at digital logic code rather than wood, so it's not quite the same. Even now as I type this, Mighty Timbo is sitting next to me playing a puzzle on his Leapster. It's a much nerdier version of Joseph and the child Jesus.

Music - Speaking of classics, when I went to pickup Claire from piano lessons yesterday, I asked her teacher if she knew anything about the song Timothy likes so much. It turns out it is a classic of Frédéric Chopin known as Fantasie Impromptu. Now we know...

Comments

I played Timothy's song in the piano recital many years ago.

Hi Lyss,

Watching it play, it's quite an impressive piece. I'm pretty sure that in my lifetime, I'll never be able to play it unless something makes me decide to really focus on practice, rather than just dabbling...
