Short Updates

Posted by Scott at 09:55 PM

Good morning! I'm back from Mass, enjoying some breakfast. It's a gorgeous morning--sunny, dry, and 60.F. 8:31am

We've moved Timothy's bed into the extra bedroom. We'll see how he does not sleeping in the same room with his twin brothers, Michael & Daniel. 9:30am

It's been almost a week since the girls brought Snickers home but today is the first day he's been given a lot of freedom to roam the house. It's fun to see the little guy scampering here and there, checking things out. 10:06am

All this buzz about tomorrow's release of Mac "Snow Leopard" (MacOSX 10.6). I'm thinking I'll wait until 10.6.1 is released. I'm not a "dot oh" person. Knowing Apple version 10.6.1 is probably only a month behind the major release. 10:11am

Geek talk: Goal for today - get our older graphics core C model up and running in linux gdb/gud and run a few test cases through it. 11:01am

Dropped Claire off at Gymnastics Village and took a Step circuit class at Golds. Claire is at a sleepover tonight. Also tonight is Timothy's first night sleeping in his own bedroom. Michelle and the girls did a decent job giving it some Timothy personality so it would feel like his room. And now the twin's room has a little more breathing room. 8:06pm

Wow! Neither the Chunkys in Nashua nor the Cinemagic in Merrimack are showing Hayao Miyazaki's "Ponyo" this weekend. Do I want to drive the kids up to Hooksett to see it? (related link) 9:03pm

I said it yesterday but I'll say it again: I've rediscovered how much fun I used to have surfing via NetNewsWire. With a good set of feeds, the signal to noise ratio is significantly higher than surfing most social networks. Alas, my eyes are getting heavy. Good night all! 9:45pm
