End of Christmas vacation

Posted by Scott at 06:49 PM

It's the end of the kids' Christmas vacation. Tomorrow they're back to school and I'm back to work. I worked a little in the middle in between Christmas and New Years but still enjoyed a four day weekend followed by a five day weekend.

Michelle and I are relieved that our girls were able to travel to and from Indianapolis with a layover in Detroit without incident. The storm that hit New England arrived after they were safely home. It made me glad we didn't make their visit as long as possible.

We're making plans for this summer's major vacation. Looks like we'll see Indianapolis, River Grove, and Coloma in a two week whirlwind tour. Hope our van is up for it. ☺

This weekend has been a rather boring one due to the weird snow storm we had. A storm from off the coast moved back west. The mountains and coast were harder hit, but we've had heavy winds and on-and-off snow all weekend.

There won't be any pictures from this Christmas vacation. I lent Abby the Canon for their trip, but she didn't take any pictures while she was away.

It's been a nice break for Michelle. She had a three week break from chemotherapy after finishing the Adriamycin / Cytoxan (A/C) regimen of her treatment. We're a little nervous about starting the Taxol phase only because it's new to us and we don't know how it'll go. It supposed to be easier than the A/C treatments. She'll take the medicine at reduced dosage in 12 weekly treatments. She should finish this phase up around Easter time. We'll both be so relieved when it's over.
