Eastertime pictures

Posted by Scott at 11:18 PM

Here are the pictures of the family during Eastertime that I worked on tonight. The picture frames that say "IMG_10xx" came from my Canon digital ELPH. The later picture frames that say "P33000xx" came from my dad's Olympus camera. Tweaking these pictures was a bit different than usual. Many times I have to worry about correcting red-eye from a flash. Indeed I still had a few episodes of this. As my folks know, Abby had a bruise on her chin on Easter morning. In many pictures I had to airbrush that to reduce it's prominence. That takes a little more work than red-eye reduction. One of the things I love about computer multi-tasking is the ability to do something like listen to EWTN while editting the pictures. Enjoy sharing our Easter fun!
Update: I updated the image prefetching code in this same album to try and make things a bit snappier for dialup phone modem users. Please let me know if you have trouble loading the individual slides. I'll be exercising it more with the old Linux laptop and it's dialup modem tomorrow. I always get a bit nervous when I mess with the HTML/Javascript. It always seems like there's some browser that chokes.
Yet another update: A dotPhoto album has been set up to order hi-res, photo quality prints of these pictures. Like the webpage, all photos are pre-cropped for a 4x6 print. Choosing other sizes may lead to unexpected cropping of the prints.
