I took the girls swimming at the YMCA yesterday afternoon. I had purchased swim goggles for me and Claire over a year ago but she didn't take to them very well. She wanted to try them again this time. This time she thought they were the greatest. She really felt comfortable putting her face in the water and looking around. Later I helped her do flips in the water. Lastly she realized she could swim without any 'floaties'. She left the pool very excited by her progress, as was I. Toward the end I was getting Abby and Claire ready to leave the pool. Abby jumped in
after I had taken her floaty off. Luckily I was right there to pull her back out. She was totally shocked that she went underwater. I don't know what she thought those floaties did. Bathing suit fashion accessory?
