More coverage of the Souhegan Valley earthquake

David Brooks wrote in the Nashua Telegraph today to followup with details of Saturday night's earthquake. He had a quote that summarized how it felt:

“One of the standard reactions of a New Englander to a small earthquake is to think that something exploded in the basement,” Ebel said. “They tend to be short events and loud, because when waves come up and shake the surface up and down, the surface acts as kind of a loudspeaker. So the impression is, it sounds like thunder from below.”
Michelle and I went to swing dance class again last night. We're moving from single-step swing to triple-step swing. Afterwards we had some ice cream and coffee at Blakes Restaurant. Tonight I'm going to an Opus Dei evening of recollection in Manchester. Tomorrow Claire finally has her dentist appointment to look into how to deal with the adult teeth coming in behind the baby teeth. Tomorrow night I give an RCIA presentation on the topic of getting to know God.

ARC is announcing some layoffs and consolidation today. Morale is a bit down as it often is when such things happen. We feel for the software engineers who need to decide if they want to relocate from Canada to the States.
