Long time no see

Posted by Scott at 09:23 AM

So it's been some time since I have written. I was so busy studying for that GRE. It went fine, nothing I can brag about, but I should't have to take it again ever, unless I decide to apply to Harvard. After the exam I still had a lot of test anxiety. I woke up at about 3am the night after and words and definitions were just flying through my head. Needless to say I had a lot of relaxing to still accomplish on Sunday. So I spent yesterday hanging out with my new roomate and getting adjusted to having someone living with me again. I got the chance to install my palm pilot software, as well. The next obstacle to tackle is all my grad school application stuff. I am going early today before classes to ask some teachers for letters of recomendation. At 11:30 I start my new job at the YWCA. I am told I will work in the older infant room. All in all, it appears I will have a great day. I will be sure to write again soon to let everyone know how my first day of classes and work went.

Glad to hear the test was okay. Ben took his entrance exam at Holy Cross on Saturday too!
Good luck at the new job. Will you have to change diapers?
See you this weekend, right?

Congratulations on getting the GRE's behind you.

Congrats also on having a record minimal time between posting and first comment -- 7 minutes.

Best of luck starting up at the YWCA. If it's anything like our Y, you won't be changing diapers.

Did I ever mention that our YMCA just started a new policy at its Kids Stop? I call it the Michelle Clause. This month our Y just raised the rates from $1.50 per kid per hour to $2.00 per kids per hour. BUT they have now have a family maximum of $5.00 per FAMILY per hour. So next summer instead of it costing us $10 per hour to have our kids go to the Kids Stop, it will only be $5. I asked Michelle if she knew of anyone else who would be able to leverage that kind of exception and she said no. Hence my nickname, the Kids Stop's "Michelle Clause". *grin*

Glad to see you posting again. We want to keep up to date with your life away at school. I hear that you have your car on campus again. Is that right?
