First we had "Big Tobacco"

Then later we heard the term "Big Oil" (esp. with the election of G.W. Bush). Now we have a new one in the works: Big Sugar. Is there any demographic in the US that doesn't have a lobbying group?!

"The [sugar lobby] industry is furious at the [World Health Organization] guidelines, which say that sugar should account for no more than 10% of a healthy diet. It claims that the review by international experts which decided on the 10% limit is scientifically flawed, insisting that other evidence indicates that a quarter of our food and drink intake can safely consist of sugar."
