The Knack

Dilbert - I've enjoyed Dilbert the comic series since my days in the USAF. Scott Adams' Dilbert books I've enjoyed less. They're too much! It's like the difference between eating a candy bar and eating a huge slice of cheesecake. If you read them too much, their outlook on office life can diffuse into your psyche and you can get too cynical about work and office culture. I enjoyed the short lived television series when I could catch an episode. This was among my favorite pieces, entitled The Knack.

Doctor: “The Knack. It's a rare condition characterized by an extreme intuition about all things mechanical and electrical ... and utter social ineptitude.”
Mother: “Can he lead a normal life?”
Doctor: “No. He'll be an engineer”

Classic!

Scott,
Mom and I never knew about "the Knack" when you were a teenager!
