Time to get ready to take Claire & her friends to school. I feel bad for the girls this past week. Even though the afternoons are in the upper 50's, in the mornings when they're waiting for the school doors to open, it's hovering around freezing. They want to wear capris and shorts, but it's still not quite warm enough.
Yesterday was Milford Middle School's "twin day". Today is their "decade day". 7th graders like Claire dress up with a 70's motif. (6th graders do 60's, 8th graders do 80's).
Happy 82nd birthday Pope Benedict XVI ! And only a few more days until your 4th anniversary as pope!
Timothy and Michelle went to drop the van off for its first ever detailing. Since it's a nice day and the facility is less than a mile away, they decided they want to walk back home together. As I stare at my screen, I'm a bit jealous.
Laughing. "So, you work at a big corporate, huh? And you're not allowed to use Twitter... Wouldn't it be awesome if there were a Twitter tool that looked just like Excel? Welcome to Spreadtweet." (related link)
Reading the AMD "Momentum Report". Nice buzzword bingo just in the title alone. The trouble is momentum is a vector. It has magnitude and direction.
Michelle & I dropped off Timothy at kindergarten. We then had lunch at the Milford Cafe on the Oval followed by a coffee run on the way home. It's sunny and almost 60°F outside. Awesome!
Deleted my account on Plurk.com. Like Rejaw.com, it is a great social networking application. Unfortunately between Twitter, Facebook, Email, etc. there's already way too many things encouraging an internet addiction.
Went with Michelle to pick up her freshly detailed van. She's a very happy camper. "Clean" and "kid haulin' van" don't usually go together. Now on my way to the gym.
Back from a Step Interval class at Golds. I feel bad for the instructors (including Michelle). This past week their microphone has been broken and they just have to shout over the workout music.
Got the boys down to bed. Abby's playing on Build-A-Bear.com. Claire & Michelle are watching news. I'm wrapping up "Atlas Shrugged" [finally!]
After 50 CDs and 63 hours of audio, I've finally finished "Atlas Shrugged". I think I started before Lent. I'm not used to working on one book for so long. Good story, debatable philosophy, but I can see why it was so influential when it was released back in the late 1950's.
Started work on expanding my script that archives Facebook status updates to also include the camera phone snapshots I post on Flickr. (related link) Made some good inroads, but I'm too tired to finish it tonight. Good night all!
