Short Updates

Posted by Scott at 11:59 PM

Good morning! Watched the morning news where they discussed those new studies recommending later mammogram screenings. You can only imagine Michelle's reaction. We cheered up by watching last night's "Big Bang Theory". 6:12am

Dropped the girls off at school and drove down to the Concord, MA office. Michelle is teaching her 20/20/20 class this morning. Took my ol' friend Ronald Perrella's advice and listened to "Ghosts of the Ostfront" (part I) on the drive down. It was excellent! (related link) 9:45am

Had lunch with my coworkers at (related link) in Maynard, MA. It was my first time at a Korean food restaurant. Yes, I live a sheltered life. 1:03pm

Smooth drive home from Concord listening to "Ghosts of the Ostfront" (part 3). I left a bit early because I have another conference call with San Diego at 6 o'clock. The house is so quiet at the moment because the kids are all at CCD. 5:29pm

Holy Cow! That genetic test to see whether Michelle carried the BRCA1/BRCA2 gene (BTW she doesn't) ... it cost around $3K. I had no idea a blood/genetic test could cost so much! Thank goodness it was covered. 5:36pm

The "sharing" pirates are a little OCD. The new children's Christmas special, "Merry Madagascar" is already available for download via Usenet. And it only aired an hour ago! 8:59pm

Bookmarks I made today:

Comment: I want to read this when I get home.
Excerpt: Abstract: In December, the 15th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change will meet in Copenhagen to work on a successor treaty to the Kyoto Protocol. U.S. ...

Apple Store to open in Nashua on Saturday
Comment: I hear a collective "Woot!" from area fanboys... For me this is about half an hour away compared to the next nearest one which is over an hour away.
Excerpt: The store will open at 10 a.m. Apple says it will give T-shirts to the first 1,000 customers, and says they will be “unique to the store and will not be printed again.”
