Good morning! We're all just back from Mass and then breakfast at Donut Fresh Express. Today's weather is much milder than yesterday so I'm going to be mowing today. It's so nice to see the lawn recovered from its dormant summertime state.
I'm all done with the lawn for a couple of weeks. This past week Michelle put a few inches of fresh loam in some bare areas so she took today to over seed those areas. I'm going to relax a bit, enjoy some DD's pumpkin coffee and read more of Patrick Madrid's book.
10 years. I have the iMac that came right after this but it's still beat by any 2010 smart phone.
While I've been overall pretty happy with Sprint, two things annoy me. 1) Their 4G advertising. I'm sure it's great in the 1% of the US where it's available. 2) Filling out mail in rebates on the phones you buy. In July it was for my HTC EVO. Now I just did the rebate for Claire's phone.
Recently realized how little I use iTunes these days. Audiobooks & podcasts via dedicated mobile Android apps & music via Pandora & XM apps.
Timothy and I went to Milford House of Pizza to pick up a pizza for tonight's family dinner. Along the way Timothy was fascinated by my rental car's 115Volt AC plug. He'd never seen a "wall outlet" built into a car before. To be honest before driving this rental, I hadn't either.
SMS texting bans not reducing accident rates. But hey, we grandstanded and did something, damn it!
Just gave my boys a demo of Google Goggles. They were impressed. "How does your phone know?!"
Oh how could I forget?! When I picked up tonight's pizza's, I also picked up two slices of cheesecake for Michelle and I to enjoy after the boys went to bed.
I've been skimming SL4A aka "Scripting Layer for Android". Ruby, Python, Perl. Geeky stuff but it could be fun for tinkering...
