A Drive for Nothin'
Good morning! It's going to be another hot one for much of the eastern half of the United States. I'm going to be working from home again today. Later today Michelle and I will meet with her surgeon to discuss plans.
Just back with Michelle from taking a class of Step at Golds. Since I'll be online late tonight, I wanted to get my exercise early in the day. Like the old jokes of seeing Michael and Janet Jackson at the same time, it was one of those rare moments where we took a fitness class together. We both go a few times per week, but usually on different schedules. And yes, she kicked my butt. In addition to her superior fitness, I had anxiety butterflies in my stomach.
Back at SNHMC to consult with the surgeon.
We're a bit irritated. We got all the way to the patient room, and the surgeon was called away to an emergency surgery. Consoling Michelle with some gyros at Bentleys.
It's definitely an iced coffee day!! 3 large iced "German Chocolate Cake" Lattes to go from A&E Roastery. (Me, Michelle, and a thank you coffee to Claire for sitting while we were out.) Coffee, chocolate, caramel, and coconut.
Used this site to explain "time zones" to young Timothy today. He asked if I'd again have long conference calls with San Diego. "Yes, from 4 to 8 o'clock tonight" I said. I had to explain that to them it's only 1 to 5 o'clock. It's the small price I paid for not flying out there this week. You know, so I can go to doctor's appointments that get cancelled...
A pox upon my kids who introduced me to the song Barbra Streisand. The only reason that they know it is that it will be on the next version of Just Dance this October. Now I can't get this song out of my HEAD! And it's so lame!
Finally done for the night with work. Tomorrow looks like one more evening of late conference calls.
Timothy and I watched the latest Tekzilla on TiVo and then I put the boys in bed with their prayers. Good night all!
