1st Radiation Treatment

Posted by Scott at 11:59 PM

Good morning! Now that a handful of weeks since Michelle's surgery have passed, today she starts radiation therapy to that region. 25-28 treatments total. If the radiologist is like last time, she'll be pushing for 28. I dropped the girls off at their school and had a nice drive down to Boxborough, listening to a podcast along the way. 8:55am

Hey New Englander's! The Boston Globe site got a major overhaul. 8:58am

The U.N. is going to “fight global obesity”. Isn't the planet supposed to be spherical? What does a svelte earth look like? 10:33am

Smooth drive north, praying the Joyful Mysteries along the way with the intention of Michelle's safe treatment. Started to listen to St. Thomas More's “Utopia” the rest of the way. Went straight to Golds Gyms for tonight's Step Circuit class. Since Michelle was at St. Patricks tonight for a meeting, she told me to stop by Subway after my workout to pick myself up a little dinner. 7:23pm

NYTimes: In Study, Fatherhood Leads to Drop in Testosterone. And after a whole brood of children?? 7:25pm

Helped Claire with her math homework and Timothy with his laptop. Got the boys tucked in bed with their prayers. Michelle returned from her CCD preparation meeting. I got to see an outline of where they radiated today (and will this month). Wow! From the deltoid to the collar bone down to the armpit. I can't help but think of all of the systems in there: circulatory, nervous, connective tissues, lymphatic, muscles, bones... I pray it all handles it well. 9:04pm

Going to watch a little Hak5 and get some sleep. Good night all! 9:05pm
