Good morning! Michelle and I have been spending some time trying to decide on amusement parks for the Orlando trip/family reunion. 4 days with the Disney parks? 2 days of Disney and a day of Universal Island of Adventure? A day of Disney, a day of Universal, and a day of Seaworld? I'm flexible but leaning towards the latter.
I dropped Claire off at Subway for a last minute emergency shift. From there I went to Golds for the Saturday morning 9:15 Step and Abs class. Going to take it a bit easy this afternoon, but Abby and Daniel still have dance class.
22 years later I finally find out why "vim" and "vi", among the earliest of unix text editors, uses the "hjkl" keys as arrow keys.
I'd forgotten that we'd agreed with our neighbor about a surprise baby shower today. I came home from the gym to find birthday party balloons tied on our fence. Soon our curb was filled with cars. The neighbors wanted it to look like there was a celebration for our kids so the daughter wouldn't be suspicious when she returned home for the surprise baby shower. A bunch of cars in their driveway would have tipped her off.
I went to pick up Abby from dance class. Michelle went to pick up Claire from work. Now to get ready for Mass. Our celebrant tonight is the recently retired bishop of our NH diocese, Bishop John McCormack. I was glad for the opportunity. I missed seeing our new bishop last week when he came and joined us for the Lenten Friday Stations of the Cross services.
It was a packed 4pm Mass. Besides the presence of the bishop, it was our monthly youth Mass, where teens participate as greeters, ushers, lectors, altar servers, and choir. Bishop McCormack gave an excellent homily. I felt a bit bad for him, yet had hope. You see, his foreword looked like he slammed into a door or a low hanging pipe. He had recently had a skin cancer removed. I couldn't see up close but it appeared that they might have also radiated that area locally. I couldn't say with any certainty. But despite that he was very upbeat and positive, barely mentioning it.
After Mass we took the family for dinner at the Nashua Chili's on Amherst St. Service was a bit slower than usual tonight, but we didn't care. There was no rush. Claire drove us all home.
Shortly after we got home, we adjusted the clocks for Daylight Savings and I got the boys tucked in bed with their prayers. Since Daniel has been dribbling a ball a lot lately, I also showed him a couple of YouTube videos of the Harlem Globetrotters. He thought they were so cool. Good night all! Don't forget to adjust your clocks!

I no longer deserve to be called your son;
treat me as you would treat one of your hired workers.” — Luke 15
