Good morning! I dropped the girls off at their schools and drove down to Boxborough, listening to EWTN along the commute. It's been raining but should let up soon.
Eliot Spitzer criticizing Rush Limbaugh's treatment of women... I think I just burnt out a mental circuit breaker. Next up: John Edwards??
Still finding it amusing that Fisker calls their elite hybrid car the "Karma". I hope its karma is better than the Chevy Volt's thus far. Judging by the Karma's recent news stories, I'd say it's a poorly chosen name.
It's sunny ~72°F here in the Boxborough/Littleton/Acton area. Just got back from lunch across the street at the nearby cafeteria. It's a short walk, but was nice to take a break from the desk.
Second mental circuit breaker trip: Bill Ayers calls the late Andrew Breitbart a political "bomb thrower". Bill co-founded the Weather Underground, a communist revolutionary group that conducted a campaign of bombing public buildings during the 1960s and 1970s.
I ordered a gift for Michelle. 14 years ago we lost her emerald engagement/wedding ring. This reminded me a bit of how beautiful it was.

Pro-Abortion Democratic Legislator, in Bizarre Twist, Unintentionally Joins Catholics Opposed to the Mandate (read more). I guess she didn't notice that the Bishops are opposing paying for contraception, abortion inducing drugs, and sterilization.
Holy cow! It was interactive yesterday: Astronomy Picture of the Day. Hat tip: Daniel's godfather. Try it out to get some perspective on the scale of things! It's the best use of Adobe Flash I've seen in ages.
Via @FakeAPStylebook: “Lay/lie: Politicians lay their mistresses; they lie on camera. Sometimes they do both at once.” Good thing I wasn't drinking anything when I read that one.
CBO now estimates Obamacare at $1.76 trillion (i.e. double the original earlier estimate) for 10 yrs. Déjà vu of Boston's “Big Dig”. I can still here Speaker Pelosi imploring us to “pass the bill so that we can learn what's in it.”
Left work a little before six. Listened to more of Patrick Madrid along the commute. When I got home I remembered that Michelle has a cancer support group meeting tonight. Pray for all who are there. For many woman there, a cancer diagnosis is like kicking someone when they're already down.
After dinner I washed the dishes and folded the laundry. Sent the boys to bed. Soon thereafter Michelle returned from her meeting. Sounds like it went well. When I sent the younger ones to bed, I told 'em they could PictoChat on their DS's in bed. I predict quite a bit of giggling in the hour ahead. Good night all!
I was looking up the definition of “access”. It mentions: "The ability or right to [...] make use of". Nowhere does it say someone else has to pay for it for me. That must be a modern twist on the meaning of “access”. You can discuss whether insurance should cover something. But when it's cheaper than water, stop saying “access” as if it's being banned. Insurance doesn't cover vitamins, aspirin, etc. and no one is taking away your “access” to contraception.

“Lord, if my brother sins against me,
how often must I forgive him?
As many as seven times?”
Jesus answered, “I say to you, not seven times but seventy-seven times.” — Matthew 18
