Good morning! I dropped the girls off at their schools. Today Abby's class uses the first two periods to take a tour of the high school. I told Claire to make faces at Abby. ;-] I can't believe soon I'll have both daughters in high school. Seems like just yesterday Abby was our “Chernobyl Baby”, glowing from her bilirubin light. I'm working from home today, hoping to catch a good workout later this morning.
Went with Michelle to the 9:15 Step class. Back to debugging. This morning: 1080p video used as a texture source.
Went with Michelle for lunch at Cafe on the Oval and for coffees from DFE afterwards.
In geek news: I missed the news that my favorite Linux distro, ArchLinux, turned 10 this week.
New teardowns are showing that the new iPad has 70% larger battery (42.5Wh vs. 25Wh) to maintain the same battery life. (details) That does help explain why the new iPad is a bit bigger and heavier. Most of that power goes into the display and the new 4G/LTE capability.
Wrapped up for the day. It was a productive one. Solved some really subtle bugs dealing with mapping video images. Now to look into ordering our DisneyWorld tickets. (grabs wallet in panic mode...)
Ordered 7 2-day "Park Hopper" tickets for DisneyWorld. Wallet significantly lightened. Remind me again that I'm "building memories to last a lifetime."
Watched the most recent "Once Upon a Time", titled "Red Handed", with Michelle and the kids, wherein we learn a bit more about Red Riding Hood, aka Ruby. Also researched DD-WRT and the cool things you can do with it. Now just waiting for Claire's call...
Picked up Claire from Subway around 10:10. Yawners! Good night all!
